Hypertension is a common condition that is better known as high blood pressure. The increased pressure places stress on blood vessels that travel throughout the body and can lead to a host of different complications. This includes trouble within the eye. Among the most common issues that results from high blood pressure is hypertensive retinopathy.

Hypertension
This condition is diagnosed, typically, in people whose blood pressure is measured at 140/90 or higher. The accepted normal for the human body is 120/80. There are several factors that come into play, which can cause hypertension. These include the levels of water and sodium in the body at any given time. Also issues with the kidneys, nervous system, or other blood vessel related complications can cause a spike in blood pressure. A person at risk for high blood pressure, due to a family history, smoking, or one of the issues previously mentioned, should have it monitored regularly. Blood pressure cuffs are sold at most drug stores for self-testing.

As a person ages, his or her body undergoes many changes. Included on the long list is a stiffening of the blood vessels. This is a natural occurrence, but it also leads to higher blood pressure readings, which is why it is more common to see hypertension in adults. Obesity, stress, frequent alcohol consumption, and diets high in salt can increase one’s chances of developing hypertension. Unfortunately, this condition, which rarely has noticeable symptoms, can be the cause of several severe health problems, including heart disease, kidney malfunctions, and significant loss of vision.

Hypertensive Retinopathy
The increased stress on blood vessels in the eye can cause severe complications. Typically, the portion of the eye most impacted by hypertension is the retina. This is the area of the eye that absorbs the light images that pass through the lens of the eye. The information received by the retina is sent to the brain, so the world around the person can be clearly detected. When pressure in the retina’s blood vessels build, they can begin to ooze. This can result in swelling and blood pools that drastically reduce the retina’s ability to function properly. An ophthalmologist can test for the condition rather easily, using a special dye and camera to capture images of the retinal area.

A person with this condition will frequently complain of headaches and vision problems. This vision loss is not something that can be treated with Lasik Austin. It is the blood at the back of the eye that is distorting images perceived by the brain. Unfortunately, the only way to treat the condition is to get the person’s blood pressure under control. Therefore, the best way to prevent this condition is to treat any signs of hypertension immediately. This will likely mean changes in diet and lifestyle. Healthy eating habits, including a reduction in salt intake are a great first step. Exercise, quitting cigarettes, and lessening alcohol intake can also make a huge difference for a person diagnosed with hypertension. A doctor might also prescribe a daily medication to reduce the pressure within blood vessels and lessen this risk of hypertensive retinopathy, as well as the many other health conditions that can arise.

Have you noticed some discomfort along the edge of your eye? Is it puffy and red in that one location? If so, it could very well be that you have developed a stye. This common eye-related problem is not necessarily a cause of great concern and isn’t likely to have you looking up eye doctors in South Austin, TX, but it can be uncomfortable.

What is it? The first thing to do if you think that you might have a stye is to be sure that you know what it is. Styes and chalazions are commonly confused. While related, they do differ slightly. A stye is an infection that develops along the edge of an eyelid (either the upper or the lower). On occasion the small, swollen, infected area can occur inside the eyelid, in which case it is referred to as an internal hordeolum by optometrists and glaucoma specialists. If the lump is in the eyelid and is larger than the average stye, then it is more likely a chalazion. It is not uncommon for this type of infection to create a lump that covers almost the whole lid, whereas a stye is often as small as a grain of rice. The larger infection is typically the less painful, however.

Causes Generally, the small area of discomfort is the result of a bacterial infection that forms at the base of an eyelash or within an oil gland. If a hordeolum in an oil gland does not drain properly, it can become a chalazion.

Symptoms There are several symptoms that may be reported by a stye-sufferer. The most common complaint is discomfort around the eye. Styes, especially, can be quite painful and may result in the eye watering in excess. The pain may even be noted before the swelling begins. The puffiness will generally last for about three days and then the wound will open and drain. The drainage is rarely noticeable as the eye flushes the fluid away. The entire healing process will typically last about one week. However, chalazia grow more slowly and also heal more slowly. They begin as a minor cyst under the eyelid, but can get large enough to disrupt proper vision. If it does not heal properly, the infection can spread to areas around the eye. Though a chalazion will generally heal itself within a few months, sufferers will often seek the help of optometrists of cataract surgeons, Austin, TX, to ensure that all symptoms are related to the infected growth. It can help to apply warm compresses a few times per day and over-the-counter ointments are also available today.

Frequency Styes can return. Some people will have several during the course of a lifetime while others will never experience a single eye infection. Experts believe that some people are simply more prone to the infections, but it is also suspected that those who wear makeup frequently, those who touch their eyes more often, or even those who suffer from frequent allergies could be at increased risk. If styes are a consistent problem, it may be best to consult an eye allergy doctor to discuss the possibility that allergens are causing the swelling of the lid.

What are Cataracts?

As we age, the natural lens that exists just behind the iris, which is meant to be a transparent component of the eye so light can easily pass through it, can become foggy. The clouding areas, which result from protein fibers clumping are known as cataracts.

Aside from age, there are several other causes of cataracts, including genetics. In rare situations, cataracts can even be present at birth. They can become very severe and make it nearly impossible for a person to see anything.

Fortunately, today, there are procedures available to cataract patients. Cataract surgeons, Austin, TX have been successfully replacing the ill-functioning lenses with artificial replacements for years with wonderful success. However, as with any procedure, there are certain risks that can make certain people poor candidates for the procedure. Patients that also suffer from Glaucoma are among those that will not receive treatment without very careful consideration on the part of the glaucoma specialists and the patient.

What is Glaucoma?

Glaucoma is a condition that results from increased pressure in the eye, called IOP. When IOP reaches high levels, it can lead to damage to nerve tissue within the eye. When this begins to deteriorate fibers of the optic nerve, communication with the brain can be interrupted, leading to substantial vision loss or even blindness. This, too, is most frequently seen in people of the older generations. Due to the fact that both Glaucoma and cataracts are very common, it should not come as any surprise that many people will experience both in their lifetimes.

Surgical Treatment of Cataracts

In order to help patients of cataracts, eye doctors in South Austin, TX will generally recommend surgery. The process, which involves the removal of the natural lenses and the implanting of artificial replacements has proven very effective. In many patients, vision correction is immediate and recovery time is minimal compared to other surgical procedures. However, as mentioned above, there is some potential for certain negative side effects that make Glaucoma patients a riskier population.

Dangers of Cataract Surgery for Glaucoma Patients

Though rare, there are complications that can arise during or shortly after a surgical cataract correction. Many hold no further complications for Glaucoma patients:

Secondary cataract Cataracts, once removed, cannot return because the artificial lens, called an intraocular lens (IOL) is non-organic, but something referred to as ‘secondary cataracts’ have been noted in a very small percentage of patients. This condition can also be treated by ophthalmologists and is a clouding of the thin membrane that holds the replacement lens in place. This can increase light glare and make it difficult to see clearly. If allowed to progress, this can result in Posterior Capsule Opacification and may result in vision worse than before the initial surgery.

Droopy Eyelid is, as the name suggests, a condition that causes the eyelid to hang differently than it would normally. In severe cases, this can cause a person a lot of difficulty seeing, because the eyelid covers the eye to such a large degree. It can also cause irritation and tearing, similar to what an eye allergy doctor would treat. This, too, can be corrected.

While these are not any more common in Glaucoma patients than in any other individual, there is one particular risk that is a big concern for those with Glaucoma:

Increased IOP Unfortunately, after eye surgery, there is a chance that intraocular pressure can increase, which is, obviously, bad news for those already suffering from high IOP and damaged nerve cells. This is the single biggest concern for the surgeon when addressing cataract issues in Glaucoma patients.

Some jobs are just dirty. You cannot get around it. For some people, every work day means that they will come home covered in something. A car repairmechanic is one of those jobs. No matter how hard they try to keep clean, they will never be able to escape everything in the garage. So what exactly is their price? How much do they have to get paid in order to get dirty every day at work?

On average, entry level automotive technicians will make over $33,000 a year in the United States. This is for someone who performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles. They are responsible for many tasks including: removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, assembling and disassembling parts, components and engines. This job does require a high school diploma or GED, and may require an internship or some type of specialty training. Experience does play a large part in the salary of this type of job.

Motorcycle repair is a similar job, but the pay does differ a little. Motorcycle mechanics make just under $30,000 a year on average in the United States. The job duties are quite similar to their counterparts’ in automotive repair. However, most are required to have more experience than those in automotive. Similarly, ATV technicians will generally make even less. ATV repaircan be a giant cost, but their technicians make only $28,000 a year on average in the United States.

This trend may be due to the price of the item receiving service. On average a car costs more than a motorcycle and a motorcycle costs more than an ATV. If you work on something that comes with a higher price tag you can expect to charge more.

Closer to home

Let’s look at the salaries in Texas, specifically Austin. Motorcycle repair, auto repair and ATV repair are all relevant in Austin. ATV technicians hit the average per year at $28,000. No more, no less. The national average is what you can expect to make. However, motorcycle mechanics take a hit in Austin. Their average pay in only $26,000 a year. It is $4,000 less than the national average and less than even an ATV technician will expect to make.

The only one to make out better is an automotive technician. These technicians can expect to make $42,000 a year on average. This is well over the national average. Anyone in this field might consider moving to Austin for a pay raise.

Getting dirty can be fun, especially when you get paid to do it. Mechanics have a dirty job every day they walk in the shop, but now you know what to expect if you are in the field. This job is not for everyone, but for those who enjoy the work, it can take care of you well. Not a lot of education is required for any of these jobs, but experience is your key. Another year in the business means another dollar in your pocket.

Planning for the future is all about ensuring you have enough money to guard against any problems that may come up. After all, what would you do if you were to get ill and lose your job as a result? How would your spouse cope if you should die? What might happen to your child’s college fund if you couldn’t continue contributing to it? One of the best ways to make certain that none of these situations occur in your life is to build a portfolio of the right insurance products, but which ones are the best option to keep your financial security intact?

One of the most important products you should purchase to assure your family’s ongoing financial security is term life insurance. Before you make this type of purchase, though, there are several things you want to check. First, go only with the
best life insurance company available in your price range. There are hundreds of fly-by-night insurance companies willing to sell you a low priced policy, but it’s just possible that they won’t be there when it’s time to pay the bill. One other thing you may want to do is carefully read the fine print. You want to actually make sure it will ensure your financial security instead of leaving you high and dry.

Disability insurance is one that many people often overlook, but it’s a must-add as well. If you were to get so ill you couldn’t work, the bills would continue to pile up, but the chances are good that your check wouldn’t hit the bank month after month. Disability insurance can cover up to eighty percent of your income to make certain money is still coming into your household, even if you can’t work. As with the life insurance policy, though, read the fine print on this one because not every policy will meet your needs.

Long term care insurance has already helped millions of Americans protect their assets, and it could help you too. It’s the perfect way to make certain you don’t have to use up your hard-earned savings to pay for expenses like a nursing home, home health care, or a rehabilitation facility as you get older. Keep in mind that very few health insurance companies pay for these kinds of expenses, so a supplemental policy like this is essential.

Critical illness insurance is also a good way to protect your financial security. If you’re diagnosed with a serious illness, there may be treatments your health insurance won’t pay for. You’ll also have to deal with co-pays, insurance maximums, and a variety of other expenses you may not have expected. Critical illness coverage can help to pay for all of that with one lump sum upon diagnosis.

Protecting the assets you’ve worked so hard to put away for your family in the future is essential, but the right insurance policies can help you do just that. Just make certain to talk with an agent carefully to get the policies that truly work for you.

Life can get very busy, with working, family obligations, and social activities; one thing after another can keep you constantly on the go. When life gets busy, it is easy to neglect the one thing people notice most about you, your smile. Smiling pretty is great, especially when you have the confidence to really smile, and are not holding back because you know your teeth are less than pretty.

Your Austin Dentist can help you bring back the luster, shine, and whiteness of your smile. Even if your teeth are unevenly stained, you can have them taken care of so that they look even and whiter than ever before. Austin teeth whitening will give you more options than simply purchasing a cheap whitening kit from a department store. When you go to your dentist for whitening, you will be given two options: an in-office procedure or a take-home kit. The take-home kit is effective and may work great. You will need to apply the whitening agent each day for a few hours, wearing it on a tray over your teeth. That may be the difficult part, but within a couple of weeks you will have completed the process, and see that it has worked wonders for your smile. The in-office procedure has a higher success rate of making your teeth even whiter and in less time. You may have to return for more than one visit, but the results will be whiter teeth, and greater self-esteem and confidence in your smile. A trained dental professional will apply the solution and make sure you have exactly the right amount for your needs.

Maybe having less than white teeth is not your main problem. You can have a general appointment for a dental checkup to see the options available for any dental problem, no matter how large or how small. One thing many people want to improve when they reach adulthood is a slightly crooked smile. If you have teeth that don’t line up correctly, but are not crooked enough so that you would have had to wear braces as a teen, then there may be a solution for you to put your smile in a higher gear.

Invisalign is a procedure which can help correct slightly crooked or misaligned teeth in the Austin, Texas area. The clear, flexible, removable aligners are fitted to your mouth, and replaced every two weeks to accommodate the movement which has already occurred. This process usually takes place from ten to sixteen months, and is a great way to improve the quality of your smile without it being obviously noticeable to those around you. They will not even notice the clear aligner which will be placed over your teeth as it is not readily visible.

As your teeth become whiter, and more aligned, you will find yourself smiling more, and knowing you look awesome. No more trying to hide your smile when the camera comes out, just a big smile on your face. You will be smiling pretty, and rather than wanting to hide your teeth, you will be showing them off in all their new found beauty.

One of the things most people do to make sure they look their best is to get rid of unwanted or unsightly hair which may be in many different areas of the body. Whether you are a woman who is dealing with post menopausal facial hair, or someone who simply wants to remove the hair you have been taking the time to shave, pluck, or wax, there may be another way you can deal with unwanted hair.

laser hair removalin Austin, Texas may be a long term answer for getting rid of unsightly and unwanted hair. When you come to us for this procedure, you will be taking a step which will end all the painful and uncomfortable ways you have been getting rid of hair before, and coming into a new, longer lasting, hair-free experience. This is one of the least invasive hair removal procedures there is, and it is FDA approved. Hair is removed with a laser which is very safe and effective to use in this manner. You will find that while your hair is being removed, your skin will be cooled. This will help prevent any possible irritations which you may have experienced while using other methods. Even more important, laser hair removal is not simply a temporary solution, it is permanent.

hair removalcan be both essential and demanding if you need to take the time to pluck, shave, wax, or trim unwanted and unsightly hair. That is why day spas offer other alternatives to these tasks. Laser hair removal is one option that can help many people, and it is long term. Other options include having a spa treat you with a good wax job, but that won’t even come close to the longer lasting results you will get when you receive a laser hair removal treatment.

Another great procedure which will help you with achieving the look you want in the Austin Texas area is botox treatments. If you have begun noticing lines appearing near your eyes, mouth, or on your forehead, you may want to take a step which will bring a youthful look back to your face. You will find that getting a botox treatment where areas are beginning to show the common signs of aging, such as wrinkles, crow’s feet, and laugh lines, will soften and smooth out the lines you are seeing. This procedure consists of injecting low doses of a protein under the skin. The results will be a smooth, clear, complexion and a more youthful appearance.

microdermabrasion is another great option for making your skin look and feel younger. It consists of exfoliating the skin, and it is used in many cases to treat wrinkles, scars from acne, skin discoloration, age spots, and hyperpigmentation. What happens in this procedure is that the top layer, the epidermis, is cleansed by an abrasive that removes dead skin cells. It is a non-invasive treatment and can be given right in the office of a spa by a well-trained professional in the skin care department. When you have this procedure done, your skin will look and feel softer, smoother, and more evenly toned. Your complexion will look much more youthful and that will end up giving you more confidence in your appearance.

Visiting a spa is a great way to improve your appearance. Even more important, though, is the improvement you will notice in your self-confidence when you know you look your best. Looking more youthful, relaxed, and free of stress can be a reality when you take advantage of the treatments and technology available to treat your skin and your hair at a spa.

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? Have you already grown up and you still aren’t sure? For some the answer is not obvious, but if you think that optometry might be a field of interest, there are a number of requirements in order to become an optometrist and perform an Austin eye exam.

An optometrist sees people of all ages and performs a myriad of tests in order to determine the health of the patient’s eyes. He or she is also responsible for determining the necessary prescription for eye glasses or contact lens. In certain circumstances, he or she can even make recommendations about continued eye care, or even something as simple as the correct sunglasses for an individual patient. This is not the doctor that will perform eye surgeries, however. While an optometrist can test for signs of many common eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma and retinal detachment, the patients requiring more advanced care – including surgery – will be referred to an ophthalmologist.

If you are willing to forgo the knife and gas mask, then you may still be looking in the right place. Optometry is a great field for those that have interest in being an entrepreneur, for those that have an avid interest in science, and for those that want to help others. However, before jumping into a decision, one should be aware that an optometrist typically works more hours than the average employee. A recent study found that these professionals worked for an average of forty-nine hours per week. The vast majority of that time would be spent with the patients and those hours often included evenings and weekends. For their hard work, dedication, and long hours, these professionals are usually rewarded monetarily. The average income of optometrists three years ago was more than one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars. That is about thirty-four hundred dollars per week before taxes.

In order to reach that point, one must take an early interest in science. It is recommended that any high school student interested in this field begin overloading his or her schedule with related courses. College should begin with pre-optometry courses at a four year school. Some schools offer a 3 + 4 program, which is three years of pre-optometry classes followed by the four years of dedicated study. After completion of the first three years, most students will opt to take the Optometry Admissions Test, which evaluates aptitude and likelihood to successfully complete the following four years. The score on this test will generally have a large impact on which Optometry Schools will consider the applicant.

One does not jump directly from college to the first kids eye exam. There is a licensing process that must be completed before that can happen. Immediately after completing all schooling, the individual should begin study for the Optometry licensing exam designed by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. There are two portions to the exam – written and clinical. The exam is regulated by each state and once passed, it will likely be required that the exam is followed up by annual continuing education.

There is a lot to becoming an optometrist, but it can be well worth the initiative as it is a high paying, very rewarding career that can make one wealthy in more ways than one.

About the Author: Larry Milton has written extensively about the optometry profession and enjoys informing individuals about latest developments in this field

The signs of time’s passage are often written all over our faces. Wrinkles, folds, discoloration, and age spots are complaints often brought to the staff at a medspa. Fortunately, there are treatment options for these and many other signs of aging. Time cannot be stopped and the clock cannot be turned back, but the evidence of age can be made less noticeable in several different ways.

There are at least two basics methods to combatting the signs of aging on the skin. One is to treat from the surface down into deeper layers and the other is to treat from the underlying layers to the surface. Treatments like peels and microdermabrasion treat from the surface. Injectable solutions like Botox and Juvederm treat from the underneath.

One way to treat the surface of the skin is with microdermabrasion. With microdermabrasion in Georgetown TX, many medspas offer this service. Microderm uses fine crystals to scrub off the top layer of dead skin cells revealing a smoother, fresher surface. This type of rapid exfoliation can also trigger certain skin cells to start producing more collagen, which is the substance that makes the skin look full and taut.

Microderm can lessen the appearance of fine lines and dark spots, called hyperpigmentation. Microderm is typically not an invasive treatment and requires little, if any, recovery time. However, you should plan on at least a little redness just after treatment though it should fade rapidly. You should also avoid exposing vulnerable skin to the sun for a few days.

A more strenuous method of removing the top layer of skin is a chemical peel. With a chemical peel in Georgetown TX, mild versions of this process may be performed at day spas and salons. Deeper, more intensive peels may require the supervision of a doctor and the facilities of a quality medspa. A chemical peel uses one of several varieties of acid to exfoliate the skin instead of a physical scrubbing. They can be very mild or quite intense and your recovery time will be in keeping with the intensity of the peel. The effects are similar to those from microderm in that the underlying layer of skin is revealed.

Treating from the inside out is another tactic in the battle against aging. A doctor may recommend an injectable treatment to fill in places where a wrinkle or fold has become deeply etched. There are several kinds of injectable products used as “fillers” like Restylane, Perlane, and Juvederm. With Juvederm in Georgetown TX, these treatments should be administered by a licensed physician. A product like Juvederm is injected into deep folds and wrinkles where it binds with collagen and elastin within the skin. It helps transport moisture and nutrients to the fibers, which support the skin’s structure. It can also be injected into lips for a fuller look or to fill in tiny vertical lines along the lip line.

The fight against aging is getting easier to win. Many new weapons are being added to the arsenal all the time. If you don’t like the look of your skin, you don’t have to accept defeat. Find a quality medspa with a good reputation and a licensed physician on site to help you battle the signs of aging.

For the average person, the situation has to be fairly severe before they ever think about going to their local emergency room. This is not only because of the high costs that are associated with an emergency room visit, but also because of the long waits and a general fear of the doctor. But you know if you break a bone, or become severely sick without much warning, that you need to visit the emergency room. But do you know when you should visit the emergency dentist?

What Is an Emergency Dentist?

While we all know what an emergency room is, most of us don’t know what an emergency dentist is, or what they are there for. An emergency dentist can be different from your typical emergency room, because, most often, the dentist is actually not on the property twenty-four hours a day. In your local emergency room, a doctor is actually required to be in residence at all times. At an emergency dentist’s office, however, they are not. Most emergency dentists’ offices have dentists who are on-call, and who will come in when needed. That’s why you may want to call your emergency dentist’s office first before you visit, for while some do have dentists on call, many do not.

When to Visit

So when do you visit an emergency dentist, and what type of situation can wait for your dental practice to open? Most tooth situations are things that are long-term and can wait for your dentist’s office to open, but some situations do require emergent care. How do you know the difference? In general, if it’s something that is giving you a great amount of pain suddenly, not something that is slowly coming on, then you should try to get into immediate care. For instance, most of the time a cavity is not something that requires emergency care. Most cavities are picked up during a routine visit to the dentist, which is why it is recommended that you visit once every six months at the very least. Sometimes, however, a cavity will become severe, and the tooth will abscess. If this occurs then you may need to see an emergency dentist in order to get pain relievers and antibiotics that will help to dull the pain until you can book an appointment with your regular dentist.

When dealing with periodontal disease, you may find that the same type of emergent situation occurs, but most often the situation can be dealt with by making regular appointments with your dentist. If, however, you have a tooth that suddenly falls out, due to disease, or that is knocked out by accident, then you should definitely seek emergency care. Many times the difference between saving the tooth, and not saving it, is whether the person sought out emergency care or not. When in doubt, it is always a good idea to call your local emergency dentist, for while the bill may be a bit steeper, it can help you avoid being in a great deal of pain, and it may even save your tooth.

Since 2002, the Austin City Limits Music Festival has been one of the must see music events in Austin, and this year is certainly no exception. With 3 days, 8 stages, and 74 bands all in one festival, the 2010 Austin City Limits Music Festival is an epic event. The 2010 festival will take place October 8th-10th. You can choose between single day passes for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, or a three day pass. Three day pass holders are given a wristband which allows them re-entry into the festival for the entire event. Single day pass holders may not re-enter the festival once they leave. Once you have your tickets, what are your travel options?

The festival is held at 2100 Barton Springs Road in beautiful 46 acre Zilker Park. To help keep the park looking beautiful, no parking is allowed at the festival site. A free shuttle is provided to concert goers to and from the event site. The shuttle service will run from 10am-11pm all weekend long, and be sure to visit the farmers market on Saturday the 9th at the shuttle site from 9am-1pm. You may also take a taxi to the gates, get dropped off by a friend, or ride your bike to the grounds. Bike racks are provided at the main gates. Though camping is not permitted inside the park, there are many camping options in the Austin area. If a night in a tent is not your idea of a good time, there are many hotels options in the downtown Austin area.

This year’s lineup is an eclectic mix. The Eagles, Muse, Phish, The Strokes, M.I.A., The Flaming Lips, Spoon, Vampire Weekend, Norah Jones, Sonic Youth, and Blues Traveler are just a few of the 74 bands that will be appearing at this year’s event. Performances start at 11am and last until 10pm every day. There is something for everyone, even the kids. Children under 10 are admitted free with a paid adult admission. The Austin Kiddie Limits area has lots of great activities for your kids to enjoy. There are several music workshops where they can learn to play the drums and guitar with real instruments or you can attend the hip hop workshop and learn to rhyme, scratch, and beat box where you’ll receive a CD of your mix to take home. Once your little one has learned to play, they can look the part with temporary tattoos and punk hairdo booths. If they are tired of rocking out, they can relax in the H-E-B Zilker Beach area and build a sand castle or relax in the shade.

In between shows you can enjoy a wide array of art, food, and other activities. The SoCo Art Market, located near the Wildflower Center Stage, is a great place to browse what the art community of Austin has to offer. Austin Eats Food Court has a wide array of food to please any palate, including pizza, sandwiches, pasta primavera, bbq, tacos, and everything in between. There are also many fine beverage and desert choices.

The Austin City Limits Music Festival is sure to be a memorable experience for the whole family. If you choose to go for an afternoon or immerse yourself for the whole weekend, there are many exciting options for you to enjoy.
